Gabi

Gabi

RVT

Gabi graduated from the Veterinary Technology program at Thompson Rivers University in 2016. She has worked at Dewdney Animal Hospital since graduation, except for one year when she decided to widen her knowledge on wildlife care at the Veterinary Technology – Wildlife Rehabilitation program at Northern College in Ontario. Gabi’s favorite patients are BC’s wild birds, standard schnauzers and black cats. On her days off, she can be found exploring BC’s mountains and waterfalls or snuggled up under a blanket with some knitting or crochet.
Tonya

Tonya

Veterinary Assistant Technician

Tonya has been in the veterinary industry since 1997 and joined our amazing team in January 2014. When Tonya is not caring for or loving up the animals at the clinic (especially the cats) she can be found volunteering with the Lower Mainland Network For Animals, camping, entertaining friends, gardening, canning, exploring the forests with her beloved rescue dog or snuggling her two cats.
Natalya

Natalya

Natalya has loved animals since she could remember. After graduating from the Veterinary Office Assistant program at Douglas College she has pursued a career at Dewdney Animal Hospital. She has a soft spot for reptiles and rodents, but loves her Chihuahua and her two cats. In her free time you will find her painting, drawing or on the couch with a blanket watching Netflix with her dog.
Kathleen

Kathleen

Receptionist

“Kat” has worked at Dewdney for 13 years. She has built strong relationships with the long time clients and the new alike. She will help you answer any questions and assist you and your pet to the best of her ability. When not at work, she hangs out with her two German Shepherds and her Sheltie, running the trails, or working in her garden.
Genaya

Genaya

Receptionist

Genaya is our cat lady extraordinaire. She started as a weekend cleaner and worked her way up to be a veterinary assistant. When she is not playing with her cats, cuddling with cats, working with cats, or talking with cats, she is most likely sleeping (surrounded by cats). She also studies piano and art in her spare time.

Amy joined our team in 2020 and is currently a student of the VTEC OL program through Thompson Rivers University. She previously worked as an adoption counsellor for the Langley Animal Protection Society where she developed a passion for dog training and animal behaviour. She shares her home with a group of rescue animals including her border collie, two cats, crested gecko and a mischief of rats. In her spare time you can find her playing video games or exploring the beautiful BC wilderness.
Maddie

Maddie

Receptionist

Maddie is a graduate of the Douglas College VOAC program. She has been with our team since September 2021 and has plans to further her education as a veterinary technologist through Thompson Rivers University. In addition, she is keen to explore the wildlife aspect of veterinary medicine and care. Maddie has always loved animals of every shape and size, but has a soft spot for the feathered ones in particular. When not at work, you will find her adventuring and exploring the outdoors with her “little” furball.
